TS3USB221A: Design consideration of four TS3USB221A used one board

Hi all,

Four TS3USB221A are used on one board , as shown in the figure below, there will be three kinds of data streams: A, B and C.

What is the main impact of four chips cascade and how to improve layout design?

USB0 and USB1 are two USB ports of MCU. For red line, Normally USB0 is used to connect micro-USB or connect-1. Micro-usb is mainly used for debug. Connect-1 is used to connect USB cameras. For green line, usb1 is connected to data module.

For yellow line, tt is used to connect module with computer.

Hi Jeff,

When add these USB 2.0 switches in the data path some loss will be added to the system. Could you describe the traces distances between the switches? Please see the app note below for tips on high speed layout. In this application avoiding 90 degree turns is very important.
