We want to design USB3.0 OTG,
Will it be necessary to match a chip like TUSB320 like USB2.0??

If yes, have part number can share ?

If no, have other way to design?

Hi,

OTG is meant for USB 2.0 not USB 3.0. If you need similar functionality at USB 3.0 then using a Type-C port as a DRP port is necessary. Can you describe your application?

Hi,

To clarify the OTG function is associated with changing the roles (Host to Device or Device to Host) of the USB 2.0 communication (D+, D-) not USB 3.x communication (SSTX, SSRX). Figure 18-26 mentions in the title the dual role nature of the USB port, I believe this refers to configuring the USB port as a DRP port. TUSB320 does support the ID function necessary for OTG and Type-C DRP negotiation.
