Hi Team

Our customer want to know the firmware information of TPS65987DDJ

1.We would like to know if FW of the device is completely controllable and reloadable, and its PD PHY is fully controllable from outside. 
2. If this device has the same PD PHY as TUSB422 and it can be fully controlled from outside, disconnecting/disabling the device’s internal control logic.

The background: at first , they want to know the differences between TPS65987DDJ and TPS65987D , I had told them that the DJ firmware is specific to intel PC.

Because I had not found any FW information about TPS65987DDJ , I think I need to confirm it with you first.

    Hello,

    The TPS65987DDJ is similar to the TPS65987D in the fact that you use the GUI to generate an application configuration to the device, and flash that to our device either through an external SPI Flash or by an external EC over I2C. The PD controller is controllable in the sense that a EC can write to and change specific registers/bits on the fly, after the patch bundle has been loaded. However, there is no way to completely disable the devices internal logic.
