Hello,

 

I want to confirm one thing for DP83822.

A customer has had a bad experience that a combination of no-TI ether PHY and a transformer caused a problem that AutoMDI/MDI-X didn’t work correctly before.

Is there any possibility to case the similar issue with the combination of DP83822 and a certain transformer?

I can send more detail transformer information that I want to confirm with DP83822 in a separated mail.

    Hi Obata-san,

     

    The electrical parameter of transformer you shared meets the datasheet requirement of DP83822I. The only thing missing is turns ratio information. DP83822 has been tested for interoperability with other vendor devices. So I do not think there will be a problem. For reference, magnetics requirement are in the datasheet in 'Table 147. Transformer Electrical Specifications'.
