Hi,
Couldn't find PHY ID in the USB-2-MDIO tool.
Updated F5 firmware. 3V3 and 5V is there.
811 and 822 is communicating with each via MII interface.
Thanks,
Stanley

Maybe I was not explain clear enough.
This is my setup:
DP83TC811SEVM as slave T1 and DP83822EVM as 100BASE-Tx configuration as MII MAC interface. (both PCs end is communicating through ping command)
Trying to setup internal MII Loopback using MSP430F5529LP LaunchPad to access register, have been flashed to F5 firmware.
Both LED1 & LED2 is blinking while "READ" button clicking.
"Register 0001 is: Error! Device not connected!"
Also let the USB-2-MDIO tool to find PHY ID itself... all return with Device not connected.
Appreciate your help and direction, if you think this setup is not going to work.
What do I need to setup internal loopback?
Regards,
Stanley
Hi Stanley,
You need to get the MDIO USB Tool working to configure the Phy in loopback mode.
1. Have you connected GND pin between EVM and MSP Launchpad ?
2. Keep Extended tab "OFF" in USB Guid.
3. Select the Application UART port of MSP and baud rate as 9600

Hi Geet,
At the very beginning, I did mentioned 3V3 is there on the MSP430.
I have reconfigured the PHY/MAC interface to RGMII.
And configured both 811 & 822 PHY ID to 0x00.
Connect MDC, MDIO & GND on 811 to 822 to MSP430 all together. MDIO has pull up resistor connected on EVM.
Still no luck.
Thanks,
Stanley
Nope.
I guess the question here is how do I configure internal loopback?
Does loopback available on DP83822EVM Rev. B and DP83TC811SEVM?
These two EVMs have put together as RGMII interface.
Auto feed UDP network traffic coming in from 811, preview traffic on 822 at RJ45 using wireshark.
Thanks,
Stanley
Hi Stanley,
Yes, you can do loopback on both DP83822 and DP83TC811. For this you have refer to DP83TC811 EVM which as media convertor functionality.

Geet
