DP83849C: Does DP83849 have any signal or way to show whether the device operation is under control or runaway (under no control) to MPU?

I am not clear on your question. Can you please clarify  "device operation is under control or runaway (under no control) to MPU" what you are looking for ?

 Thank you for your reply and I'm sorry to bother you because of my poor English.

 The customer thinks DP83849 might be out of control (not working properly) by big noise because this device has DSP internally.

 I used each word like the following meaning.

  Under control = working properly

  Runaway((under no control) = not working properly

  The customer wants to know if DP83849 has any status signal which show that DP83849 is not working properly.

  Could you give me your reply?

Hi,

Few things can be checked:

1. Link Status register in register 0x0000.

2. RX_CLK clock speed : If link is 100M, the clock shall be at 25 MHz. If No link or 10M link, it shall show 2.5 MHz.

- Your recommended to check Link Status register in register 0x0000. But I couldn't find the bit in the register 0x0000

  on page 48 of DP83849C datasheet (http://www.ti.com/jp/lit/ds/symlink/dp83849c.pdf).

  If the regiister address is 01h, I can find LINK STATUS bit on Basic Mode Status Register(address=01h).

 Is the register address you mentioned 01h?
