Hello Team,

we are working with the DS90UB954-Q1 and DS90UB953-Q1. In particular we have already the PCB done.

Out of the first test we may work with lower bit rate, so we are thinking about changing the part to the DS90UB936-Q1 and DS90UB935.

They look pin to pin compatible, so my question would be, can you confirm that on the PCB currently based on the DS90UB954-Q1 and DS90UB953-Q1 I can solder the DS90UB936-Q1 and DS90UB935?

Hello SunSet,

Yes, 954/936 and 953/935 are 100% compatible, pin to pin and software. Actually although the 935/936 are referred to as "3Gbps" serializers they actually operate at the exact some FPD Link rates (4G or 2G depending on the mode). The only difference between the devices is the allowed total CSI-2 data bandwidth.
