DS90UB927Q-Q1: If you do not use Clock Stretching for DU90UB928-Q1 and bi-directional I2C communication ..

Part Number: DS90UB927Q-Q1

Hi team

Is there a problem that the link is broken if I do not use Clock Stretching in DUAL I2C communication with DU90UB928-Q1?

What happens if I do not use Clock Stretching in DUAL I2C communication with DU90UB928-Q1?

  • Hello Charles,

927 and 928 require the host to support I2C clock stretching to utilize the bidirectional control channel. If the host does not support it then you will likely get I2C errors and failed transactions when trying to access the remote device.

    Best Regards,

    Casey
