DP83825I: Intergrated MAC terminations and Intergrated MII terminations on the datasheet P1

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask DP83825I?

There is the descriptions "Intergrated MAC terminations" and "Intergrated MII terminations" on the datasheet P1.
We can assume that "Intergrated MII terminations" are pull up resistors for TD_P/N and RD_P/N because of current mode.

What are "Intergrated MAC terminations"?
Could you let us know these?

The integrated MAC terminations are built-in series termination resistor for RMII MAC interface.

->We are sorry that our recognition is not enough,,,,
   Does RMII MAC interface need termination resistor?
   Does it require isometric wiring and the same impedance wiring only?
   Or, does it mean dumping resistances?

Hi Matsumoto-san,

The integrated MAC terminations for RMII interface are only on output pins (RX_D[1:0], RX_ER, CRS_DV). With built-in termination resistors, there is no need to have external 50-Ohm termination resistors. See section 5 of this app note for more details: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/snla079d/snla079d.pdf
