TPS65987D: Parallel Internal Power Paths for Source

Hi All,

I found this post a few months ago that mentions a FW update was in the works to allow the use of PP1 and PP2 in parallel: https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface/f/138/t/712632

Was this functionality added to the TPS65987D and config GUI?

Hello Jon,

Yes, this functionality has been added, but you can only access it with the TPS65987DDJ. The feature is called PowerDuoAlternateMode, but is only integrated within the DJ version of the config tool. You will need to request access for the TPS65987DDJ product page, but outline that you wish to use the PowerDuo functionality, and they should grant you access to the collateral.
