Hi Team,
Would you please help to check below questions for LM8330?
1: Could the LM8330 support Multi-key (support 4 keys ) ?
2: Have any windows O.S. driver to support LM8330?
3: Has it ever be used on laptop application ?
Hey Ray,
May I ask why this device was chosen? Are you only needing the keypad function or do you need the PWM function as well? I ask because we typically see the TCA8418/TCA8418E for keypad matrix applications.
"1: Could the LM8330 support Multi-key (support 4 keys ) ?"
This is mentioned in page 1 and 21 of the datasheet. You will likely need low voltage switching diodes to support this kind of application (prevent ghosting from occurring).
"2: Have any windows O.S. driver to support LM8330?"
We do not provide direct software support for our devices outside what has been uploaded on the web.
"3: Has it ever be used on laptop application ? "
I am sure it has been used for that application but I do not have the ability to provide details on that.

Hi Bobby,
The keypad more than 84 keys, thus LM8330 be chosen.
Does the TCA8418 could support over 84 keys?
