TPS65982: To support Native+RTD3

Hi Team,

We want to modify current TBT card to support Native (Native + Low Power mode)+RTD3 (Run Time D3) mode at new Intel platform。

Please help to check if there are any HW or SW needs to be changed on TPS65982

Hi Daniel,

If you are creating a TBT device, you must use the TPS65983B and follow an Intel reference design. We cannot recommend making any changes to these reference designs.

Our TBT card is host not device, so it can use TPS65982.

Are there any HW or SW needs to be changed or noticed for TPS65982 to support Native (Native + Low Power mode)+RTD3 (Run Time D3) mode at new Intel platform?

Hi Daniel,

There should be no HW changes needed. You will only need to adjust the Sleep mode register of the TPS65982 to enter the low power states. (0x70).
