I have an application that requires the laser current to go to 0mA (zero). Yes, I know this will cause the laser to chirp.
The easy part is to simply not connect the bias output, I assume that won't be an issue.
But my concern is about the modulation output. In the low state it should draw the set modulation current, but in the high state, does the current actually go down to 0mA (zero)? Or is there always some current being drawn?
