DP83869EVM: Customer is getting and error when trying to run evm

Hi Support team

My customer is getting an error, gui is displaying  Register 0xa is: Error! Improper length format in basic read/write.

I am working with the EVM and I followed the instructions in the user guide. I have the MSP430 drivers installed and the USB2MDIO software to access the registers. I have connected the EVM to my laptop using USB.

When I run the software to read register value, I get this error –

 

I have connected EVM to right COM port (checked in the device manager)

Register 0xa is: Error! Improper length format in basic read/write.

Any thoughts on what the issue may be
