DS100BR111: How to understand the tPOR timing of DS100BR111?

my customer want to confirm the tPOR definition in DS100BR111 datasheet. it's 500 ms from the datasheet. it's that means the device needs to wait 500ms to operate after valid VCC power on? customer feedback that the time is too long for 500ms.

could u help to give some suggestions?
