Good day Colleagues,

Could you recommend a reference design for Thunderbolt PD 100W with TBT3 compatibility?

My customer is looking at TPS65983B and TTPS65987DDJ (maybe TPS65982) to make a PD.

Could you tell me, how can we support TBT3 with out PD controllers?

Hi Mikhail,

The TPS65987DDJ should be used for TBT host designs. If you are designing a device, please work with Intel to select one of their reference designs. TBT devices are regulated by Intel and can only follow their reference designs.

Hi Mikhail,

You can refer to TPS65987EVM for a reference. Although it uses TPS65987DDH, the DJ version is pin to pin and adds the TBT support. You can download the TPS6598x Application Customization Tool to program the TPS65987D. Please select the "Request" button on the TPS65987DDJ product page to request access to the TBT version.
