DP83822I: Power consumption with 3.3V AVDD/CT and 2.5V VDDIO

Part Number: DP83822I

Hello,

There are some power consumption data for 3.3V/1.8V for AVD/CT and 3.3V/1.8V for VDDIO cases in the datasheet (SNLS505E, P97-P101, Section 10.1 Power Supply Characteristics).
But my customer needs the data for AVD/CT = 3.3V and VDDIO=2.5V case. Is the data for this condition available?

Regards,
Oba

  • Hi,

VDDIO is only for the IOs pin and  shall not be connected to CT of magentics.

AVD/CT shall be powered by same power rail as AVDD.  AVDD supported by DP83822 are 3.3V and 1.8V.

Power Dissipation for both the case are part of the datasheet.

VDDIO 2.5V power dissipation is part of the datasheet.

    Regards,

    Geet

  • Hello Geet,

I know AVD/CT should be the same voltage and either 3.3V or 1.8V should be selected.

My question is power consumption for 3.3V AVD/CT and 2.5V VDDIO case.

Could you please see Table 145 in Section 10.1 Power Supply Characteristics(P97-101) of the datasheet(SNLS505E), SNLS505E.

There are power consumption data with the below 4 cases.

    1. 3.3V AVD/CT and 3.3V VDDIO

    2. 3.3V AVD/CT and 1.8V VDDIO

    3. 1.8V AVD/CT and 3.3V VDDIO

    4. 1.8V AVD/CT and 1.8V VDDIO

But what I want to know is 3.3V AVD/CT and 2.5V VDDIO case. There is no data for that in the datasheet.

Is power consumption data for this case available?

    Regards,

    Oba

  • Hello,

    Could you please reply?

    Regards,
    Oba

  • Hi Oba-san,

Yes VDDIO for 2.5V is not part of the Datasheet. Please use the VDDIO 3.3v current numbers for estimating the power numbers.

    Regards,

    Geet
