Hi TI,

Can I extend the line of CAT6 to 60 meters?

Specifications are only written in excess of 20 meters.

If not, what chips can reach the recommendation?

Our requirement is to extend the range of 50-60 metres with CAT5/CAT5E/CAT6/wire.

It may follow the same pattern as the first or second figure.

Hi Jerry,

There are different CAT6 quality or insertion loss based on the cable manufacturer. However, DS15EV5110A has not been evaluated using 60m CAT6 cable. As long as your CAT6 cable performance meets table 4 of the application note below, DS15EV5110A should be able to equalize this cable.
