Hi Guys,

Customer using POC that will be close 1A.

Please have your recommend 1A current solution in POC with DS90UB964-Q1.

    Ian,

    the 1A current is much more that the general camera module which needs 200mA. For this design, the challenge is that you can't select the proper inductors in the market. another challenge is that the high POC current would impact the high speed signal stability.

    so may I know why you need the 1A rating current in the POC network? can you reduce it with increased POC voltage?

    Hi Steven,

    Because customer use the flash pin with sensor control the IRLED that have 2pcs in camera module and don’t have any other connector link the IRLED.

    So the IRLED current including the POC. That is why customer inquire 1A solution that should recommend the type with inductor.

    Customer voltage already using +12V.

    Ian,

    this is quite challenging from the PoC network design. As you know, the higher current, the higher PoC ripple in the high speed link, this would impact the high speed signal quality. Also, the high rating current inductor with >47uH is not popular component in the industry.

    For such application, we would recommend you to separate the IRLED power with external power supply cable.
