Hi Team,

The electrical designer tied the coax shield to logic ground per the TI appnotes but they are concerned the coax shield if left floating from the chassis ground will radiate/couple noise. They would like to ground the shield to chassis as well but the electrical engineer is concerns as it is not in the FPD appnotes.

Do we have a recommendation?

Hello Julio,

It is recommended to tie the shield to the chassis ground as you said. If they also tie to logic ground this should be acceptable as well, but chassis ground would be most important since it should help absorb EMI from ESD or other external radiation.
