Hello,

I have a question about Hot Swap Application in THVD1510.

I did not find Hot Swap explanation in THVD1510 datasheet.

May I ask can THVD1510 be used in Hot Swap application?

If we can, what is the point we need to be careful in Hot Swap application?

    Hello,

    Yes, since this device has high impedance interface pins when unpowered and is glitch free at power on it is a good fit for hot plug applications. Something to watch out for would be voltage overshoots that might occur at the connector pins when plugging or unplugging a cable. If these overshoots occur and are at a high level (exceeding the rating of the transceiver) then you may wish to further protect the device by installing a TVS diode to clamp the voltage or a series resistance to limit any surge currents.
