HI team,

my customer meet some issue on DP83640 loopback function, when they enable the loopback, they can received the sent data, but they get 2 times data byte than sent data, for example if they send 1 byte, then they received 2 byte:

please check the configuration, all the data in redbox are superfluous，all the other data are right.

do you have some comments on why this happened?

Hi Sunny,

Please share a small block diagram explaining the setup, which loopbback is been enabled, and from where traffic is generated and recieved.

Hi Geet,

thanks for reply, customer`s block is very easy, only their processor and our PHY, MII connection, no connection on TD and RD.

for configuration, they only configure BMCR（addr:0x00）to 0x6100, enable internal loopback.

they send and receive the data from MII.

Do you have some comments on the issue?

Hi Sunny,

Suggest transmitting one packet from FPGA and monitor how many times TX_EN and RX_DV toggles.
