TUSB544: TUSB544 AUX and SBU pin connection

Hi  ，

The AUX and SBU recommended connections in the TUSB544 specification are shown in Figure 1. The TI reference design is recommended as shown in Figure 2. Why are there two connections? What is the resistance of the AUX and SBU lines?

    It depends on where the TUSB544 is being placed.

    The TUSB544 reference design in the datasheet shows the TUSB544 placed in a DP source system. 

    The reference design shows an active cable design which TUSB544 is placed between the Type-C DP system and the DP sink. In this case, the AC cap and pull-up/pull-down are inside the Type-C DP system and the DP sink. The pulldown is to ensure the pins are not floating.
