DP83867IR: RX data when WOL

Part Number: DP83867IR

Hi

How can we disable RX data when the broadcast packet is received  at WOL enable?

Because the processor is wakeup when the broadcast packet is received even if INT does not change.

INT signal is changed to Low from High correctly when the magic packet is received.

And it wakeup as we expected. However the behavior is not as expected when the broadcast is received. Is this behavior is normal?

The processor does not wakeup when WOL is disabled even if the broadcast is received.

(Wakup: This means that the state of processor changes from " Suspend" to "Resume".)

  • Hi Hamamoto-san,

The RX data content from the PHY should be the same with WOL enabled or disabled.

The processor could react on the broadcast packet by itself. Please check and confirm what other conditions can change processor from "Suspend" to "Resume"

Also, it's possible that when the WOL feature is disabled, it is also disabled on the processor. Please confirm.

Register 0, bit 10 can be used to isolate the MAC interface. You can try it to see if it works with WOL enabled.
