SN65HVD231Q-Q1: Need thermal resistance properties and junction temperature limit

Hi Scott,

I wonder if you are looking at an older version of the datasheet.  Check out this datasheet link for SN65HVD231 and let me know.  This datasheet has more thermal information on the HVD23X family, including theta_jc and theta_jb. 

For SN65HVD231:

Theta_JB = 42.2 degC/W 

Theta_JC = 43.3 degC/W

The device lists a 165 degC Thermal Shutdown with 10 degrees of hysteresis, although I cannot find a junction temperature limit.  

I can dig some more on that limit if you need it.

Are the thermal parameters for SN65HVD231 that you provided also applicable to SN65HVD231Q-Q1?

Hi Scott,

We did a database search on the comparison between the Q1 version and non-Q1 version.  In this case, the thermal information should match between them.
