DS280DF810: Usable for PCI Express 3.0?

Part Number: DS280DF810
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS125BR820

Hi,

I want a flexible data fabric interface on a VPX 3U FPGA card - PCI Express (8 Gbps) SRIO (10.3125 Gbps) and 10GBe, with a retimer at the connector to clean up the mess.

If the DS280DF810 can handle PCIe at 8Gbps I can add 100GBase-KR4 - but unlike SRIO and 10GBe, PCIe at 8Gbps is not a /2 or /4 even fraction of the 20.2 to 28.4 Gbps range.

Does that mean that this part can't be used for PCI Express 3.0?

Thanks in advance,

John
