DS90UB941AS-Q1: Single DSI input SER requirements

Part Number: DS90UB941AS-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90UH941AS-Q1

Hi Team,

Since customer has the requirement of single-channel DSI input. Could you please kindly help to confirm if we have single-channel DSI input products like DS90UB941-Q1(but it has two DSI input).

Thank you very much for your support.

Best regards

  • Hello Jessica,

941AS is our only DSI input FPD Link product. It can be used with single DSI input though (it does not need to use both DSI ports). Also since it supports asymmetric splitting, it can be used to drive multiple displays with one DSI port.

    Best Regards,

    Casey

  • Hi Casey,

Thank you very much for your kindly support. But i still have more questions about this device

#1 As to the asymmetric splitting function, if it means we can duplicate the DSI input data under one DSI input ? Or mean it can only transfer one DSI input date with two FPDLINK port? i am not very clean about it can drive multi display(is not determined by DES how much display it can drive?)

#2 Another question is what the DES can be used togerher with 941?

#3 If we connect 941 with 948, then if 948 can deserialize the data under sym and asym spliting mode?

#4 If 941 can be configured to use just one channel FPDLINKIII output.

#5 Could you please kindly help to share more detail material of DS90UH941AS-Q1 to my email?

Thank you very much for your help.

    Best regards

    Jessica

  • Hello Jessica,

You can find all of these questions described clearly in the datasheet here: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ds90uh941as-q1.pdf

Especially section 8.4.6.4.1 should be useful for you.

    Best Regards,

    Casey
