SN65DPHY440SS: Asking for the recommendation on the EQ setting on MIPI redriver SN65DPHY440SS

DPHY440 is a MIPI re-timer. It’s hard to tell a max cable distance as different transmission materials will have different insertion loss, also the clock rate, source signal swing, DE level of source signal, EQ capability of end point receiver will take an effect.The DPHY440 supports up to 4dB EQ on its Rx and 2.5dB DE on its TX. These features were intended to some extent to compensate the ISI loss in the channel. If measurement or simulation of the degraded eye diagram can be done, they should be able to get an idea of the cable length that can be supported by DPHY440.

It depends on the loss of the 50cm between the main board and the LCD, how much can it be compensated without DPHY440 first and then we can determine the location.
