DS96F174MQML: I can’t estimate the 96F174 which I used is OK or not?

Part Number: DS96F174MQML

Before the 96F174 soldering in the PCB board,I measured  the impedence between Pin2、Pin3、Pin5、Pin6 of 96F174 to GND(Pin8),and the value is 56Kohm,but the values of the others I used are all OL,so Can I still use this chip? And the reason maybe ESD,but as I know the 96F174 is bipolar ,is it too easy to be damaged by the ESD?And has anybody known the inside interface of the 96F174 ?

  • I will see if I can locate details on the output structure.

However, if the device has been suspected to be exposed to electrical overstress, then it should be considered compromised if proper ESD preventative measures were not utilized.

If device was exposed to an ESD event, measuring the differential output impedance would not guarantee that device is reliable.

  • Jun,

I was able to locate an equivalent circuit for the outputs.  It would not be expected that they would see a differential impedance.
