TPS65988: Using TPS65988 for DRP with TUSB8044A

Hello all,

I'm interested in using TPS65988 with TUSB8044A and several muxes to implement two DRP ports. My question was about VBUS1 and VBUS2. Is it okay to short these pins together to connect them to VBUS detect on TUSB8044A?

    Hi Gerasimos,

    It is not okay to short VBUS1 and VBUS2 pins together on TPS65988. TPS65988 uses an internal ADC to measure the voltage on VBUS. If they are shorted together, then there will be unexpected voltage on the opposite VBUS when a connection is made.
