pls look at SLLA406 TUSB1002A configuration guide,
only setting 1-4 is 900mv, 9-16 is 1200mv.
1. CFG will only impact DC component of eye pattern. Changing the linieratiy range of TUSB1002A will effect the EQ provived and can pontailly increase jitter.
2. CFG pins are configurable via pull up and pull down resistors. At device reset these pins are polled and the "default" setting is based on this.
Hi,
There are multiple factors that effect both Eye Amplitude and Eye jitter. TUSB1002A is designed to compensate for factors that effect the Eye amplitude and not the Eye jitter. this compensation is done with the Equalization settings of TUSB1002A. The DC gain helps with any DC loss in the eye diagram and Linear range setting i used to keep the equalization function operating in the correct region. this setting should corresponds to the expected input at the redriver. I recommend using a linear range of 1200 mVpp. Does this answer your question?
Dear Barton57
Could you support the defualt setting about CH1_EQ1,CH1_EQ2,CFG1,CFG2, MODE?
Hi,
The default settings is selected based on the application and the expected loss of your pre-channel and post channel. For more information on these topics and help configuring TUSB1002A please see the below links. I believe this will allow you to select the correct setting for your application.
