Would USB type-C protocol allow above 3A negotiation at 5V . Is there a restriction on USB type C ? such as resistance on cc lines.

Hi Ali,

USB-C allows for current from 1.5A and 3A. To implement a 5A you would be using USB PD specification with e-mark cables. Hope this helps. Let us know if this solves your thread.
