TPD3S714-Q1: Short Circuit on the USB?

Part Number: TPD3S714-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62130, TMUX154E,

Hi All,

My customer is doing an automotive ECU using our p/n:

TPS62130 as DCDC 12V -> 5V

TPS70618DBV as LDO 3.3V ->  1.8V

TMUX154E

USB protection from short circuit to Battery, current limitation etc..: TPD3S714-Q1. (1x board).

This component should ensure that the 5V generated by the TPS62130 also used to power external USB devices as well as internal CAN transceivers, does not change in case of sc on the USB. Is this configuration correct or are there other necessary precautions or work-arounds?

Any comments?

Many Thanks,

Antonio
