DS90UB954-Q1: 954 Current consumption at each number of CSI2 Tx lanes

Part Number: DS90UB954-Q1

Hello,
Is current consumption dependent on number of lanes of CSI2 being used? If so how much will it decrease when lane number is decreased by 1?

  • Hi Ito-san,

I can verify this in the lab. Any specific conditions you'd like me to set up (FPD-Link line rate, internal/external 1.1, how many RX ports are active, CSI rate, etc.)?

    Best,

    Jiashow

  • Hello Jiashow,

I don't need exact value now,  first i would like to see relative difference between 1lane, 2lane, 3lane, 4lane in same RX line rate (so less than 1.6Gbps video).

  • Hi Ito-san,

I checked the power numbers in lab under the following condition:

    internal 1.1V, 2 serializers @ 4Gbps, both ports forwarded, 1.6G CSI, VDDIO = 1.8V:

The 1.8V (including VDD1V8 and VDDIO) meausred:

    4-lane: 0.21A

    3-lane: 0.21A

    2-lane: 0.20A

    1-lane:0.20A

    internal 1.1V, 2 serializers @ 4Gbps, both ports forwarded, 0.8G CSI, VDDIO = 1.8V:

The 1.8V (including VDD1V8 and VDDIO) meausred:

    4-lane: 0.20A

    3-lane: 0.20A

    2-lane: 0.20A

    1-lane:0.19A

The number of CSI lanes outputted has a very slight impact on the power consumption.

    Best,

    Jiashow
