DP83867E: DP83867 Transformer

Hello,

My customer is looking for a low profile extended temperature 1000Base-T transformer  for the DP83867 PHY.  They are thinking about using their HM5149NL transformer for this application. Do you have experience with using this suggested transformer with the DP83867 PHY? Do you have any alternate suggestions for a low profile extended temperature transformer?  This is for a board with a maximum component height restriction of 4.3mm.

    Hi David,

    We have not tested this specific model of magnetics but looking at the datasheet it looks like the spec is ok. The return loss is a higher than what we have tested with but it should not be issue. If customer needs example connection diagram then they can refer to the datasheet.
