Hello all,
we are designing an equipment where we plan to move data between two board using ser/des pair DS92LX1621 / DS92LX1622.
The distance between boards is rouglhlty 0.5 m and we are worried about emi immunity.
We are planning to use a USB connector like in the LX16EVK01 kit but we are in doubt for the shield connection used in that schematics.
In that design the shields are put togheter with the VSS rail, like in standard USB application.
Is this a must ?
Due our noise environment this could lead to ground current over the shield between tx and rx side of the link.
An ethernet fashion connection with 1nf 2 kV capacitor between shield and board VSS could be suitable ?
