LMH1981: sync separation for 3G video

Hi support team!

We are using the LMH1981 to extract the vertical sync from a bi- or tri-level genlock.

Now we need to process 3G video with the respective genlock inputs, that is 1080p/50 , 1080p/59.94. According to the datasheet, the LMH1981 does not support these frame rates.

Could you please let me know how to solve this or if you could suggest another device capable of these frame frame rate?

Sorry for the delay, this required some internal investigation.

I have received confirmation that LMH1981 can indeed support these video formats.

Could you explain why the datasheet does not confirm these formats?

According to version "SNLS214H– APRIL2006– REVISED MARCH 2013", downloaded from ti.com, the LMH1981 supports only SMPTE274M, which defines 25p and 30p .

Hi Felix,

We will update the lists of supported formats in this datasheet in an upcoming revision. I'm not sure why the datasheet does not specify these formats.

I confirmed with an original design engineer that the device can support these formats specifically. There are many other formats that can be supported that are not listed in the datasheet.
