DS80PCI800: Looking for 8ch Redriver for V-by-One

Hello professional,

My customer is looking for 8ch Redriver for V-by-One.

However our portfolio of Redriver for V-by-One is only "TVB1440". Unfortunately This is 4ch device and couldn't satisfy customer requirement.

At that time customer think about the other device has possibility of using for V-by-One redriver especially "DS80PCI800", "DS80PCI810", "DS125PCI800A" and "DS125BR820".

Do these devices possible to use for V-by-One?

If you know the other appropriate device for 8ch V-by-One redriver socket, Please let me know.

Hi Kazuki-san,

I do not have the electrical requirements for V-by-One interfaces. The redrivers listed are all protocol agnostic, but they will require AC coupling on the input and output high speed signals. I do not know if this is compatible with V-by-One.

Sorry for my late reply.

I heard about electrical requirements for V-by-One as follow.

・Physical layer :CML(I think it is same as PCIe)

・Coupling : AC cuppled

・Band width : 4Gbps per lane

Could you distinguish whether PCIe redriver can be used for V-by-One?

I attached simplified version of V-byOne standard book just in case.

Hi Kazuki-san,

The detailed electrical specifications are not included in the short edition of the specification. Other sections do show that the interface is 8B10B encoded, AC coupled and the highest datarate is 4 Gbps. The 8-channel devices listed below can work well under these conditions.

1. DS80PCI800

2. DS80PCI810

3. DS125BR800A

4. DS125BR820
