TPS65981EVM: Running the TPS65981EVM as a Sink/DFP by using the PP_HV internal switch

Dear TI Team,

I want to setup the TPS65981EVM as a Sink/DFP for 20V/3A usage. That works fine thru PP_EXT but doesn't work thru PP_HV. I tried many settings e.g. set PP_EXT to "not used" and PP_HV "configuration for input" but had no success. The EVM always choose PP_EXT. What I'm doing wrong in general?

    Hi Mario,

    You would have to change the BUSPOWERZ pin configuration on the EVM. It is set up to sink through PP_EXT in dead battery mode. You can refer to the datasheet to see which setting is required for sinking through PP_HV. There is a resistor option on the EVM to make this change.
