SN65DSI83: SN65DSI83 test pattern setting

I am testing the SN65DSI83.
I can not figure out what the problem is between the DSI signal and the LVDS signal, so I want to test LVDS first.
Can I generate test patterns without DSI signals?

here i attached DSI Tuner screenshots.
Note that Refclk can be controlled (currently 30mhz input).

I set it like the picture above, but the image is not output.

I use Linux based JetsonTX2 (Nvidia).
Is there material on how to add and use SN65DSI83?

Hi yoon,

Yes, you can generate the test pattern without DSI signals. All you have to do is click that "Test Pattern" checkbox in the first window and then generate the settings.

You are probably not getting any image output because your DSI clock setting is too slow. You have the DSI CLK set to 60 MHz, but it needs to be 180 MHz to meet the line time requirements. The equation for the required DSI CLK is equation (2) in this application note: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slla356/slla356.pdf

Please also ensure that you are following the initialization sequence listed in the datasheet, and that the DSI output from your processor matches the settings you input into the DSI-Tuner.

thank you for the reply.

Can I just click on the "Test Pattern" checkbox?
The test pattern setting alone does not display the screen.(No LVDS signal.)
Do I need to fix another part?

There is no DSI signal.
I want to check the LCD panel first.

I found a reason why the test pattern does not work.
Register 0x0d must be set to "1".

Hi yoon,

Yes, the DSI-Tuner settings don't set 0x0D to 1 because the PLL must be enabled in accordance with the initialization sequence listed in the datasheet.
