Hi team,

Customer is using DS90CR286 in a head unit project, and met flicking screen issue recently, they want to double check the input LVDS signal is OK or not, so they wondering if CR286 have Eye width and Eye height requirement for the input LVDS signal?

Hello Fery,

To qualify the link, the best would be to use BIST to ensure the desired BER is met since we do not have an eye requirement.

Hi Casey,

The whole signal link is I.MX8 -> SN65DSI84-Q1 -> DS90CR286 -> LCD Display panel, both of our device have no BIST function, so I wondering how to use the BIST for this case to evaluate the BER of the link?

Hi Ferry,

There is no BIST function, but did you try checking figure 22 in the d/s and comparing those specs against your eye diagram?

This issue was handled internally on helpme. Root cause for the flickering was unstable power supply for the LCD Panel; unrelated to DSI84 and DS90CR286.
