DS15BA101: Best choice for CML driver

Hi, we require a CML driver for Hotlink data at 250Mbps to 800Mbps link rate and are trying to decide between the DS15BA101SD or the SN65CML100.

I like the DS15BA101SD better as it is a smaller footprint, but we need to drive 100 and 150 ohm differential TSP cable.

I want to make sure I am not overlooking anything by choosing the DS15BA101SD?

Hi David,

I do not see any issues using the DS15BA101 as a driver for 100 Ohm or 150 Ohm cables.

I agree, DS15BA101 can driver 100 Ohm or 150 Ohm cables.

Just want to make sure there is no advantage to using the SN65CML100 device?

Both the DS15BA101 and the SN65CML100 look similar enough to me and it comes down to cost and size.

In that case the DS15BA101 wins and this will be the part we select.
