We have following queries regarding TUSB8041
1)Can TUSB8041 support I2C protocol when addressed by a Host instead of SMBus protocol.
2)For power control per port PWRCTL [1:4] which register can be used for configuring the polarity.

1. In most cases, yes this is possible. Check this app note which describes the differences between I2C and SMBUS: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/sloa132/sloa132.pdf
2. Bit 5 in Reg 0Ah controls power control polarity or it can be controlled by the PWRCTL_POL pin if using pin configured mode.
