Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DP83869
Can the DP83867IR part be used in a 1000Base-KX (i.e. magnetic-less) design? If so does AN-1519 pretty much apply to this part as well? Are there any restrictions?
Thanks so much,
Rich

Hi Geet,
Thanks so much for the response. To be clear, if I have two devices that are about 2 feet apart with Gigabit Enet interfaces, I can connect a DP83869 to each side's RGMII port and connect the 4 output pairs together through caps similar to what is shown in figure 5 of AN1519 (http://www.ti.com/lit/an/snla088a/snla088a.pdf), correct? If so, I assume I'd connect TD_P_A of one side to TD_P_A of the other side (through the DC blocking caps) - right?
Thanks again for the help!
Rich
Hi,
The connection are similar to magnetics one with
a) Capacitive Coupling
b) No magentics
