TUSB1064: USB HDD device lose as DP display

Part Number: TUSB1064
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TEST2

Hi Team,

We use TUSB1064 on our docking project.

Fix on 2-lane DP+one port USB3.1 configuration. (USB3.1 Gen1, DP1.4), and confirm all CTL/FLIP pins are correct during the test.

On the TUSB1064 downstream facing port, we add a Genesys GL3523 HUB. And this HUB connect four USB HDD.

Test1: Docking connect four USB HDD. USB read/write test pass.

Test2: Docking connect four USB HDD, and also connect a DP panel. USB read/write test fail. Four HDD would device lose.

Test3: Docking connect one USB HDD, and also connect a DP panel. USB read/write test pass.

We have tried some EQ gain setting on USB, but no improve. (Confirmed the trace length and the cable length, TUSB1064 is capable to compensate the lose).

Could you give us some advice?

Base on Test1/2, the HDD lose since DP active, we concern about 1064's crosstalk.

Q1: Any USB3.1 Gen1+ 2-lane DP1.4 crosstalk test report?

Q2: The gain setting of USB would affect the crosstalk with DP?

Base on Test2/3.

Q3: The number of HDD would affect the gain setting of USB and the crosstalk with DP?

Thanks
