Hi Sir
May I know OV2740 could be used for 953 ?
SPEC is 1080p60f ,but 2 Lane MIPI
Thanks

Hello Kai,
What is the per-lane MIPI speed?
Thanks,
Casey
Hi Kai,
For UB953, the CSI2 bandwidth is Ref.clk x 128. If the RefClk is 26MHz (maximum value), the CSI2 bandwidth is 3.328Gbps. and the maximum lane data rate is Refclk x64. So for your two data lanes case, the maximum CSI2 bandwidth can be up to 3.328Gbps. For you video input from OV2740, pls check the video format is YUV422 or RGB888, if it is YUV422, it is ok.
best regards,
Steven
Hi Steven
I refer to 953 datasheet Table 6
if the Refclk is 26MHz
Sync mode is 26MHz *128 = 3.328Gbps ,so 2 Lane CSI bandwidth is 1.664Gbps ?
My explain is correct or not ?
How to know YUV422's and RGB888's bandwidth
OV2740 is 10bit raw RGB
Hello Kai,
Your bandwidth calculation is correct. For 2 lanes and REFCLK = 26MHz, the bandwidth is 832*2 = 1.664Gbps total. For 10 bit RAW, you would calculate the bandwidth by multiplying the total frame dimensions and blanking by 10 bits. See the attached example - the blanking and overhead percentage is an estimate and must be checked with the image sensor vendor for the real number.
