TPS65987D: To use UCSI 4CC commands "UCSI - SET_UOR"

Hi, everyone,

Could you tell us the register settings to use "UCSI - SET_UOR" commands ?

for example:
[0x29 Port Control Register]
Bits 12: ProcessSwapToUFP should be 1.
Bits 14: ProcessSwapToDFP should be 1.
etc...

Our base firmware version is "F707.10.06",
and we've noticed SET_UOR commands won't work properly.

In our firmware setting, 0x29 Bits 12 ProcessSwapToUFP is set 0,
but if we set it 1,
we can issue SET_UOR command.

Hi Maurice,

The register settings required to use the command "UCSI - SET_UOR" are shown on page 168 of the TPS65987DDH and TPS65988DH Host Interface Technical Reference Manual (Rev. B). If there is a failure using this command, the error code is indicated in Byte 1 of the output data.

Does ProcessSwapToUFP/DFP bit affect to issue the "UCSI - SET_UOR" commands?

Hi Satoshi,

Yes the ProcessSwapToUFP/DFP bit will affect the USCI-SET_UOR command based on how you would like to configure it and the current USB operation role.
