FPC402: FPC402 :- Can store Optical port data in FPC$0X ?

Part Number: FPC402

  1. I have a requirement for auto-polling the optical transceivers at an interval of every 10 ms.  Does FCP-402 have any internal storage to store the polled data if required ? If yes what is the size of storage ?
  2. Are there any drivers already available from TI that supports the autopolling ?

  • Hi Dilip,

1). FPC402 does poling or prefetching. There are several registers controlling prefetching rate, number of byes, and what event triggers this pre-fetching. Device can store - one time basis - 32 bytes per port and 16 ports(up to 256 bytes). Please refer to the programming guide for detailed operation.

2). You now have access to the FPC402 design documents. This includes SDK for software development purpose.

    Regards,, Nasser
