TPS65988: TPS65988 can replace CYPD4225 or not in my design

As for TPS65988, it is my first design. I am not sure whether TPS65988 can replace CYPD4225.

As shown in the attached principle, AMD recommends CYPD4225, but I want to use the scheme design of TI solution.

Can someone confirm it for me?

Or are better circuits recommended?

    Hello,

    The TPS65988 is not a direct replacement for the CYPD4225. The pinout is different as well as the overall system implementation. The TPS65988 incorporates two internal power paths as well as the ability to control an external one. We are currently working with AMD on a reference design using one of our PD controllers, but I cannot comment on when that will become available.
