Hello,

Recently our customer use the LVDS output of IMX6 to drive 10.4” LVDS panel. But he need hot plug application,  and consider adding one LVDS buffer like DS90LV001. Does DS90LV001 support hot plug? What he should do? What he considered is that he supplied the LVDS receiver first, and then enable the output of DS90LV001 after insertion of LCD panel. According to this application, do we have any reference circuit?

    Hi Kailyn,

    The DS90LV001 should be able to support hot plug. You just need to ensure that the GND of both system elements are connected first, then supply voltage, and then the signals. You can also add ESD protection devices on the hot plug connection side to ensure a path to GND/VCC for any charge present at the time of connection.
